Praveen specialises in Construction Laws, Consumer Laws, Insurance Laws and handles commercial arbitration and disputes before the DIFC Courts. He is also well-versed in Civil, Criminal & Consumer Laws of India. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Calicut.

He got selected as a legal counselor in India in 2015. Following his enrollment, he began practicing from the offices of Mr. N.K. Unnikrishnan, one of Kerala, India’s most prominent criminal lawyers. He happened to help Mr. Unnikrishnan prosecutes an accused in a contentious murder case in Kerala during his term. In addition, he has assisted a prominent U.A.E. retailer in drafting pleadings to secure an injunction against a prominent developer.

During his pursuance of his career in U.A.E., he has: –

1. Represented the Sellers of an acquisition in a DIFC-LCIA administered and DIFC seated arbitration worth millions of riyals before a three-member Arbitral Tribunal;

2. Assisted a personal guarantor in defending himself against a claim filed by an Indian for recovery of loan before the DIFC Courts;

3. Represented the buyers of an apartment in a DIAC administered arbitration for recovering the delay penalty; and

4. Worked with and instructed various English barristers and a King’s Counsel on various institutional arbitrations and DIFC Courts matters.

His areas of interests include commercial arbitration, commercial disputes before various forums and drafting Agreements.
